Applications for Resolution! are now open, to apply follow the link at the bottom of the page.
- The choreographer must be a full-time resident in the UK between the application deadline and performance date (those resident in Europe should apply to Aerowaves)
- Every company member must be able to provide proof, where appropriate, of their eligibility to work in the UK
- The work is between 15 and 25 minutes long
- The work features live dance performance
- The choreographer is not in full time education, unless a postgraduate student
- The work was not made whilst the choreographer was an undergraduate student
- The work has simple technical requirements (each company will have a maximum of three hours technical preparation in the theatre on the day of the performance)
- The choreographer MUST attend a briefing meeting on Tuesday 12 October 7-9.30pm
- If the choreographer is unable to attend the briefing meeting, they must send a representative. Attendees cannot represent more than one company at the meeting.
- First Footing - you are willing to pay a hire fee of £333 + VAT, off-set by receiving one third of the net box office income for your performance (this does not need to be paid in advance)
- Evolution - you are willing to pay a hire fee of £333 + VAT, off-set by receiving one third of the net box office income for your performance (this does not need to be paid in advance) with a guarantee against loss
Resolution! is always over-subscribed. When making your application, please think about our priorities for selection, which are:
- Work that is contemporary in its content whatever its style or form
- Work by new artists with dancers who have completed full-time vocational training
- Group work rather than solos
- Work by experienced dancers at the outset of their choreographic career
- Work by younger artists who can demonstrate an engagement with the dance profession and its opportunities
For Evolution only:
- Work by artists who can show a clear progression from their previous work
