Hilary trained at LCDS between 1995-1999, graduating with a First Class BA and went on to be a member of 4D, the Postgraduate Performance Company, completing her MA with Distinction. She has worked with a variety of choreographers including Martin Lawrance, Maresa von Stockert, Tom Dale and Yael Flexer. From 2001-2006 she was a member of Random Dance touring nationally and internationally as well as delivering an extensive education programme. In 2007 she was a dancer on the Jerwood Bank Project run by Siobhan Davies. She has taught and made work in a variety of different schools and community settings across the UK. Hilary was appointed Rehearsal Director for Shift in 2007 and rejoins the company now following a period of maternity leave.
