Cre8 at The Place

28 July - 1 August 2008 9.30am - 3pm

Cre8 will provide an opportunity for students aged between 10-12 years and 13-15 years to be involved in a bold and innovative week of contemporary dance, the focus of which will be on exploring and developing creative dance ideas.  Sessions will be led by experienced dance teacher/choreographers in collaboration with a film artist and musician. On the final day of the project there will be an informal performance of work created during the week to which family and friends will be welcome.

Hurricane 08 (Boys project 10 - 14 years)

28 July - 1 August 2008, 10.00am - 3.30pm

Following five years of success The Place is proud to welcome this year's Hurricane Boys' Project. Once again the weeklong intensive programme will be led by accomplished teacher/choreographer Greig Cooke. All boys aged 10-14 with a real enthusiasm for dance are encouraged to join the Project - no formal training is necessary as long as you have the right attitude!  Places are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to all applicants - no audition is necessary.
