Lose yourself in dance this summer

Join us for three fun-packed weeks of exhilarating dance courses for adults of all abilities.

We have invited leading international dance companies Random Dance, Nederlands Dans Theater and Phoenix Dance Theatre to lead week-long repertory classes.  Cutting-edge choreographers teach creative workshops each week which push the boundaries of contemporary dance, exploring the use of voice, choreography, theatre and integrated dance.

Enrol in one of our three Performance Projects, led by choreographers Maresa Von Stockert, Kerry Nicholls and Ben Duke, and create an original piece of dance to perform by the end of the week.

If you are taking your first dance steps try our Introduction to Dance during week two, where our expert teachers will guide you through the basics of contemporary dance, ballet, Pilates and choreography.

Our Flavours of Summer classes are open to all ability levels and offer you the chance to discover new styles and moves including: capoeira, bharatanatyamcontemporary African dance and contemporary with breaking.

As usual, a core programme of technique classes in ballet and contemporary for all ability levels run throughout the programme, taught by our expert teachers and guest artists.

There are also complementary activities including Pilates, dance film-screenings, massage sessions and Portrait of the Artist discussions. All participants will have the chance to present creative work to their Summer Intensive contemporaries at the end of each week.
