Scottish Dance Theatre returns to The Place with an inventive programme showcasing new work, international collaborations and the company’s home grown talent. Pavlova’s Dogs, specially created for SDT by Rachel Lopez de la Nieta (Dog Kennel Hill Project), is an experiment in how we watch dance inspired by Pavlov’s theory and the choreographer’s interest in the humour to be found in the absurdity of human behaviour.

My Sweet Little Fur by Israeli choreographer Idan Cohen, is a solo that presents a dialogue between a man and his animal instincts posing questions about our cultural behaviour.

Playful and powerful in equal measure, the programme will also include new short works created by SDT's versatile dancers; Love Games by Joan Clevillé and A Touch of Red by Nicole Guarnino. Each piece showcases the choreographic skill and distinctive talent emerging from within the company.
