Currency is a new programme that presents some of the most exciting and creative new works from Europe and the rest of world in a friendly and interactive format to encourage discussion and engagement with artists that challenge their audience to think in new ways.

Tabea Martin's Duet for Two Dancers takes a look at the anxiety of not living up to your own expectations, or those which your profession or society imposes.

Tabea Martin has danced for companies in Germany and Ireland, and now works as a choreographer and performer in The Netherlands, Basel and Zürich. She is supported by Dansateliers Rotterdam and Het LAB Utrecht.

In Travail Alma Söderberg plays with combining fragments cut from newspapers, creating collages from clippings that have caught her attention to create ingenuous rhythmic scores in which movement, rhythm, music, sound and language open up possibilities for multiple, unexpected meanings to take shape.

Alma Söderberg is from Malmö in Sweden. She studied classical ballet and a few years dancing flamenco in Spain before training at the School voor Nieuwe Dansontwikkeling (SNDO) in Amsterdam.

Your ticket for this event includes the performances, dinner, and a pre-show sharing and discussion with Frauke Requardt and Alessandro Sciarroni.
