Re: Generations is the UK’s largest gathering of dance artists, researchers, choreographers, teachers and students intending to shape future practice in dance from Africa and its diaspora.
This year’s conference, The Next Generation – Mapping New Futures includes talks, film screenings, workshops and performances by contributors from the Caribbean, the UK and the USA, exploring how young people can engage with African-influenced dance.
The Place will host evening performances from 8pm featuring curtain raisers from Phoenix Dance Theatre and ACE Youth Dance before Connecting Vibes, Kariamu & Company and performance of Chris Walker’s Urban Fissure by UK-based young emerging artists.
