London Contemporary Dance School is a part of The Place, a unique building in central London where dance artists are able to meet, collaborate and learn from each other.
The Place is the UK's premier centre for dance. It offers professional support to dancers and dance makers at all stages of their careers, is the home of Richard Alston Dance Company, and the Robin Howard Dance Theatre, Britain’s busiest dance venue.
The Place also runs a Centre for Advanced Training offering pre-vocational training for young people of exceptional potential, youth dance companies, a national schools workshop scheme, and an extensive programme of classes and courses for adults and young people, open to all. It is internationally recognised as a pioneer in the fields of dance education, training, creation and performance.
