These classes offer a clear progression from level one and are designed to expand the dancer's knowledge and performance skills by working further on technique and learning the dynamics of movement phrasing. Level two is also suitable for participants with experience who are returning to dance. This is a Limón/Release-based class.
Akane Abe completed a Bachelor in Sports Science at Chukyo University and subsequently taught aerobic and jazz dance before moving to Europe. During her time in Europe Akane trained in mime theatre in Helsinki with Adam Darius, this was followed by full-time training at London Contemporary Dance School. Since graduating from LCDS Akane has regularly taught for The Place and frequently teaches and performs with Shiho Kanazawa Dance Company in Japan.

Full price term enrolment is £110. If you qualify for the concession rate (£95 per term), please bring proof of status to the Classes and Courses office when you attend class at The Place and we will refund the difference.
