Research by LCDS students

London Contemporary Dance School offers a full range of postgraduate research degrees, and studies include performance-based pedagogic, choreographic, historical and archival projects.  New research proposals are always welcome.
The ethos of The Place is reflected in its research community. Place people are not pigeon-holed, but rather are encouraged and supported as they develop their ideas and practice. The supervision given to research students is from two tutors, one from The Place and the other external; students will have their full support, yet at the same time be empowered to work in their own way.

The School, and the University of Kent (who validate LCDS degrees), encourage students to think creatively about the potential use of new technologies and newly evolving research contexts (particularly practice-based research) when devising their proposals and presenting their findings.
