Overseas students
Non-EU international students will be required to pay the full cost of their tuition. Fees for 2008/09 have yet to be agreed but will not be less than the current year's fees of £12,990. Further information about fee rates for non-EU students will be available from London Contemporary Dance School once agreed.
Please note that the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama reserves the right to alter the exact amount payable for all its programmes prior to enrolment.
Fees for the remainder of the programme
The Conservatoire has agreed with the Office for Fair Access that fees will only increase with the rate of inflation. Please bear this in mind when considering the total cost of your programme.
Paying your fees (home/EU students)
Fees are set by the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama. Information about the fees for UK/EU students can be found on the Conservatoire's website (www.cdd.ac.uk) and in the booklet Financial assistance and fees 2008/2009. The website and booklet also outline the Conservatoire's bursary scheme available to students.
From 2006, students will not have to pay fees at the start of their programmes (although you can if you wish to do so). Instead, students may, if they wish, take out a loan from the Student Loan Company to cover their fees which will become repayable at the end of the whole programme.
Based on the current guidance issued by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES), graduates will start to repay their loans from the April after they complete their programmes provided they are earning more than £15,000 per year. Deductions are usually made through the PAYE tax system by an employer. For example, someone earning £20,000 a year would repay £8.65 per week or £37.50 a month. If the salary falls below £15,000 then repayments will stop until it increases again.
