These classes which progress from level one, are intended to expand the dancer's knowledge and performance skills by developing their classical technique and a more dynamic range of movement and musical phrasing. Level 2 is also suitable for participants with experience who are returning to dance.
Damien Lee Stirk began his dance training at the Dorothy Stevens School of Ballet and Modern Dance before graduating from the English National Ballet School, London. His professional performing experience includes: English National Ballet, the Israel Ballet and Le Ballet National de Marseille, France. He has performed in many countries worldwide including France, Italy, Germany, Turkey, China, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia and the USA, most of which came whilst touring in Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake as performing artist and Dance Captain.
His film and television credits include Carmen for the BBC, featured dancer in the Hollywood movie adaptation of the Phantom of the Opera, directed by Joel Schumacher and Swan Lake for Dancing with the Stars Channel 7, Australia. His teaching experience includes as ballet master with Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake company, resident ballet master for the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, and a guest teacher for Tivoli dance in Copenhagen. Most recently Damien taught and choreographed at The Emma Tse Dance Academy in Hong Kong for the school's annual summer dance workshop.
Damien is a professional make-up artist for MAC cosmetics in London. Most recently he was make-up designer for Matthew Bourne’s current production of Dorian Gray.

Full price term enrolment is £110. If you qualify for the concession rate (£95 per term), bring proof of status to the Classes and Courses office when you attend class at The Place and we will refund the difference.
