The Performance Company is a new project taking over from the performance projects.  Under the guidance of rehearsal director Tory East you will also be working with a choreographer on a commissioned piece that will be shown at various events, such as Big Dance, Bloomsbury festival and curtain raisers at the Robin Howard Dance Theatre. We are hoping to guarantee at least two public performances as well as more informal sharings with Birkbeck University.

The performance company will run once a week for 3 hours on Wednesdays 6.30-9.30pm. The sessions will consist of a warm up/class and then work on the creative projects that the company will be involved in.

The Company is for participants level 1 and above and we will not only be asking for technical ability but also creativity on your part.

The company will run for the autumn and spring terms and there may be the possibility of performances during the summer term. We are asking for participants to be able to commit to the sessions and performance opportunities bearing in mind that these opportunities may arise a short notice.

When signing up to this company we are asking you to make a commitment to it for the two terms and would ask you to consider this when signing up the taster sessions.

The taster sessions will give you a chance to find out all about the company, work with the rehearsal director as well as giving them the chance to get to know you.

The company will consist of about 20 dancers who will remain with the company for the year.  A new company will then be formed in the next academic year.
