These fun and informal classes are for students who have had some previous experience in contemporary dance. Level 1 is suitable for those who hold a basic understanding of the techniques involved but would like to develop their skills. These classes strive to build confidence, improve technique and increase participants dance vocabulary under the guidance of expert teachers. This is a release-based class. Please note Level 1 is NOT for complete beginners.
Victor Fung graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) and the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) with a Diploma in Dance and a BFA in Dance (High Honors) with a minor in German Studies. He has danced for Nugent Dance in California as well as various companies in Hong Kong including DanceArt, E-side Dance Company and Perry Chiu Experimental Theatre. As a choreographer, he was awarded the Dorothy and Sherrill C. Corwin Choreography Award for his work Inc. Besides performing and choreographing, he also taught at the HKAPA, City Contemporary Dance Company Dance Centre, and Southern School of Dance in Hong Kong. He is currently pursuing his postgraduate studies in choreography at the London Contemporary Dance School.

Full price term enrolment is £99. If you qualify for the concession rate (£85 per term), bring proof of status to the Classes and Courses office when you attend class at The Place and we will refund the difference.
