Summer Intensives is The Place’s packed programme of five-day courses focusing on contemporary dance, ballet technique, and complementary training at all ability levels. Participants must be aged 16 or above.
The wide range of classes are taught by highly skilled, experienced professional dance artists, and all technique classes are accompanied by live music. The workshops give participants the chance to work on different aspects of their dance technique, and see a real progression over the five days.
Each 5 day course runs Monday - Friday and consists of one class per day, we run these for 3 weeks every August and each week is comprised of a different programme. Participants may take between 1 and 4 courses each week dependant on how much they want to do. The courses range from around £55-£85.
This year’s Summer Intensives will run from Mon 2 - Fri 20 August 2010, and will feature teaching residencies from three of Britain's most acclaimed and popular dance companies: DV8, Wayne McGregor | Random Dance and the Ballet Boyz.
