Spring Loaded is a renowned showcase for some of the most refreshing artists choreographing in the UK.
The Place backs this conviction by investing in commissioning and initiatives that have enabled many of these artists to research, develop, create and rehearse their work. Since the season’s launch in 1987, this investment has spawned many household names, including Matthew Bourne, Wayne McGregor, Lloyd Newson, Shobana Jeyasingh, Lea Anderson and Russell Maliphant all presented some of their earliest works in Spring Loaded.
Spring Loaded 2011 runs from 4 May - 18 June and features performances from: Probe, Sonia Sabri Company, Vera Tussing & Albert Quesada, ATMA Dance/Mayuri Boonham, Rosie Kay Dance Company, Charles Linehan, Frauke Requardt , Reel Lives with Hofesh Shechter, Mickael Marso Riviere, Supple & Tommy Franzen, Rachel Lopez de la Nieta, Niv Shenfield, Oren Laor & Keren Levi, Guy Dartnell, Gary Clarke and Hofesh Shechter Company Dancers.
