Film-maker Steve Jackman follows Russell Maliphant and Company as they create a commission for the Barbican in 2004; the film shows the process of collaboration between the choreographer and his dancers, lighting designer Michael Hulls and composer Barry Adamson.

The progression from the first rehearsal to the dress rehearsal and one-off performance at the Barbican is shown in full behind the scenes detail, and the reactions of the collaborators after the premiere are captured.
