In his startling new work Mark Bruce uses theatre-in-the-round and a soundtrack including Sparklehorse, The White Stripes, Queens of the Stone Age and György Ligeti, to plunge the imagination into a raw, otherworldly arena.
As time shifts and figures from myth and ritual collide, gods emerge amongst frenzied cheerleaders, murderous strangers, dogs of war and bedraggled homecoming queens in a heart-searching dance work of savage beauty. The cast of performers includes Greig Cooke, Eleanor Duval, Darren Ellis, Joanne Fong, Caroline Hotchkiss, Elizabeth Mischler and Ino Riga.
Mark Bruce has choreographed and danced professionally in the UK and abroad, working with companies including Rosas, Introdans, Extemporary Dance Theatre, DJazzex and Bern Ballet, plus musicians Polly Jean Harvey and John Parish. Mark also works extensively in theatre, teaches professionally and will be releasing a book of short stories in 2010.
+ post-show Q&A on Fri 4 June.
