Pierre Tappon was born in Angoulême, France. He began his dance training at the Patricia Vaysse School of Dance. In 2002 he moved to Bordeaux in order to join the Junior Ballet D’Aquitaine under the direction of Daniel Agesilas. While dancing for the JBA he worked in various production of the Opera National de Bordeaux. He came to London to complete his dance training at the London Contemporary Dance School in 2005. Pierre completed a one year apprenticeship with Richard Alston Dance Company before joining as a full-time dancer in summer 2007. In 2009, Pierre completed his Master’s degree with distinction. Pierre is also interested in choreography and teaching. He choreographed a Franco-Italian duet UNDER THE SIGN for the LCDS graduation performances and more recently got commissioned by the Center for Advance Training to create SURELY THERE. Since 2010, Pierre is a full time teacher at the Center for Advance Training at The Place.
