Spring Loaded is a renowned showcase for some of the most refreshing artists choreographing in the UK. The Place backs this conviction by investing in commissioning and initiatives that have enabled many of these artists to research, develop, create and rehearse their work.  Since the season’s launch in 1987, this investment has spawned many household names, including Matthew Bourne, Wayne McGregor, Lloyd Newson, Shobana Jeyasingh, Lea Anderson and Russell Maliphant all presented some of their earliest works in Spring Loaded.
