As a registered charity, The Place depends upon support from Individual donations to enable investment in a broad and diverse range of education work, new choreography, performances and community relations initiatives.

As well as providing on site professional training and performance space for up and coming dance companies, we also use our education programmes to target groups of children and young people who would not normally have the opportunity to enjoy the creative experiences that we have to offer.

We are only able to sustain this level of all-inclusive support to dance makers of all ages and abilities with the help of donations from generous individuals who believe in what we do and wish to see it continue and expand.

Take a Seat
The Place’s Take a Seat campaign gives supporters an opportunity to name a seat in the Robin Howard Dance Theatre whilst supporting the education work of children who aspire to one day perform here. For £500 you can sponsor one of the 300 seats in the Robin Howard Dance Theatre at The Place.  The name could be your own, that of a relative or friend, favourite choreographer or anyone else – it’s up to you!

Place Circle   
In return for an annual subscription, the Place Circle offers members an exclusive insight into the process of dance making and developing dance artists through a series of behind-the-scenes events, as well as offering the opportunity to meet artists and other dance enthusiasts.  Find out more about becoming a member.
