Young Dancers' Saturday Programme

The Young Dancers' Saturday Programme offers a range of dance activities for young people with a passion and enthusiasm for dance.  Classes focus on contemporary and creative dance for complete beginners to advanced students, as well as compositional sessions for aspiring choreographers.  The programme provides participants with plenty of enjoyable options, whether you are seeking a fun way to exercise or structured dance progression; there is something for everyone at The Place.

First Moves (5-7yrs)
£85 per term
Take your first dance steps in a session bubbling over with fun and excitement.  

New Moves (7-9yrs)
£90 per term
Children explore movement ideas in a variety of interesting and imagination ways.  

Fresh Moves (9-11 & 12-16yrs)

£90-95 per term
Young people with no previous experience are recommended to try this innovative introduction to dance which explores a range of dance styles and dynamics.  (Note: this class is available to residents of the London Borough of Camden at a heavily subsidised rate - contact us for details).

Energiser (Boys Only 9-11 & 12-16yrs)
£95 per term
Boy’s class intended to push their physicality and athleticism to the limit.  

Contemporary Dance (10-18yrs)
£95 per term
These classes develop technical expertise and musicality in classes focussed on developing a broad range of dance movement.

Choreography (10-18yrs)
£95 per term
Ideal for creative dancers and designed to compliment students studying for GCSE Dance.

Pilates (13+ yrs)
£75 per term
A body conditioning class to support children on the Young Dancers Saturday Programme.   

All classes are designed to develop rhythmic, spatial and body awareness, together with creativity, concentration and physical skills. Most classes are accompanied by live music whilst some creative sessions use recorded music to help develop expressiveness and appreciation in a range of music styles.   

There is a £5 discount for the second and every subsequent class booked either for the same student or a sibling.

Ages are given as a guide only - teachers will ensure that dancers are put in a class appropriate for their level of ability. 

Due to high demand the availability of places in the Young Dancers' Saturday Programme are often limited.  Parents or young people who are interested in taking dance classes are encouraged to register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
