Alan Lisk
Alan has worked nationally and internationally as an accompanist and composer for dance companies and schools. He has had publishing deals with Virgin and EMI and regularly composes scores for TV and film. Alan has received a BAFTA nomination for his film scores.
Billy Surgeoner
Billy has accompanied at The Place, Middlesex University and Laban. He has also worked extensively with the Cholmondeleyes and co-wrote the music for Three with Steve Blake.
Anna Gillespie
Anna has worked as a musician for dance since 1990. As her formal training was in dance her music is directly influenced by the experience of dancing. She has worked throughout the UK as a dance accompanist and is also involved in English National Ballet’s Education Unit, working both as a workshop musician and composer. Anna also plays the piano with Sexeto Café – a London based salsa band.
Jim Rajan
Jim is a professional percussionist. He studied at Drumtech and with world-renowned session drummer, Bob Armstrong. His skills have been used as a writer and session player in many different styles including folk, jazz, rock, electronica and breakbeat. He has also written and performed music for theatre. As a practitioner of Shamanic Medicine he uses flute and drums in a therapeutic healing environment. Jim currently studies North Indian Bansuri Flute and incorporates the Bansuri and Native American Indian flutes in his accompanist work. He has played for dance classes at The Place and LABAN since 2006.
Vincenzo Lamagna
Vince has been an active dance accompanist for the past 3 years, developing a unique style based on the use of acoustic guitar, loop machine and voice. Since April 2010 Hofesh Shechter Company he has toured worlwide with the acclaimed "Political Mother".
