Higher Education Maintenance Grants
From 2006, new full-time undergraduate students from lower income households will be eligible for a non-repayable maintenance grant from the government of up to £2,975 a year.
How much you will get will depend on your household income. If that income is around £25,000 or less you are likely to be eligible for a full grant worth £2,830 - 2,974 and partial grants are likely to be available for those with a household income of between around £25,000 and around £60,000. Grants are payable in three instalments. Bursaries from the Conservatoire are additional to any grants received.
