Three works by choreographer Joe Moran. Each a very different response to 'what can dance say, today?’
Full-bodied dancing, stillness, virtuosity and overblown masculinity all come under inspection in this daring and arresting evening of dance.
Moran performs his compelling solo Decommission presented along with his trio Obverse, commissioned for The Place Prize for dance sponsored by Bloomberg, and the bold all-male ensemble, Arrangement, with BAFTA-award winning sound artist Kaffe Matthews performing live.
‘ Moran proved that dance can speak a distinctly twenty-first century visual arts language.’ writingfromliveart.co.uk
Artistic Director of Dance Art Foundation, Joe Moran has worked widely in the visual arts and with choreographers Deborah Hay (USA), Siobhan Davies (UK) and Pontus Petterrson (Sweden). His newest commission is Subject to Change for EDge, the postgraduate company at London Contemporary Dance School.
