Antonette will lead a daily conditioning class aimed at warming up and preparing the mind and body for dance. Based on Stott Pilates these invigorating sessions will include the use of light weights, interval training and dynamic stretching to work on improving posture, increasing core strength and aerobic function.
This open level course complements technique classes providing an excellent way to start the day. As a professional dancer Antonette has practiced Pilates for over 12 years and now as a trained instructor she aims to help dancers develop their own body awareness to create a balanced and aligned body that looks fit, feels strong and moves with ease.
This course runs for 5 days, and the price quoted is for the full 5 days.
Born in London, Antonette trained at The Debra Bradnum Ballet School, The Royal Ballet School and Central School of Ballet, graduating with a BA Hons in Professional Dance with First Class Honours. As a student she performed with The Ballet Central 2005 Tour, The Royal Ballet Company and Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Antonette is a freelance dancer and teacher. She has also worked with CeDeCe, The Curve Foundation Dance Company, Patricia Okenwa, Renaud Wiser, Malgorzata Dzierzon, New Movement Collective, Alexander Whitley Dance Company and Rambert performing in works by renowned choreographers such as Christopher Bruce, Michael Clark, Merce Cunningham, Siobhan Davies, Javier de Frutos, Itzik Galili, Henrietta Horn, Barak Marshall, Ashley Page and Paul Taylor.
