Class description:

These fun and informative classes are for students who hold a basic understanding in contemporary or ballet and would like to develop their skills; building confidence, improving technique and increasing dance vocabulary. This energetic and enjoyable session is a great way to kick off the weekend. Starting with an invigorating warm up, the class will explore different contemporary techniques, moving through mobility exercises, a series of phrases and culminating in stimulating travelling combinations.


Additional notes:

This class is not suitable for beginners.


Artist's biography:

Sarah began dancing at Dance for Young People, The Place, at the age of four before training at London Contemporary Dance School and joining the Young Dancers’ Summer Programme team as a teaching assistant in 2000. She graduated from LCDS in 2003 with a First Class Honours Degree and has worked with a number of choreographers, including Russell Maliphant, Jan de Schynkel and Martin Lawrence. Sarah is currently working with choreographer Janet Randell and Cedar Dance Animations and also teaches for a number of primary schools in London. She is part of the Classes & Courses team at The Place and also teaches on The Place's Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) programme.
