These fun and informal classes are for students who have had some previous experience in contemporary dance and hold a basic understanding of the techniques involved but would like to develop their skills. The classes strive to build confidence improve technique and increase participants dance vocabulary under the guidance of expert teachers.

Please note that this course is NOT for complete beginners.

This course runs from 3-7 August and the price quoted is for the full 5 days. 

 

Teacher's Biography:

Jamaican Dance Artist Shelley Maxwell was trained in dance both in the Caribbean and in the United States. She is a past student of the National School of Dance (ENA) in Havana, Cuba and has toured and performed extensively with both the National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica and the London based Tavaziva Dance Company.

She successfully crossed over into Musical theatre performing in both Disney's The Lion King in London and working under the direction of Bill T. Jones as an original cast member in the London production of FELA! at the National Theatre. Shelley also holds an MA in Choreography from Trinity Laban.
