Artist Development Coordinator

The Place, London’s creative powerhouse for dance development, has been leading the way in dance training, creation and performance for 50 years. In a changing landscape, our vision for the future is steadfast: we are powering imagination through dance, championing new ideas, embracing risks and creating optimal conditions for dance artists and enthusiasts to realise their full potential.

We are currently looking for an Artist Development Coordinator who is passionate about supporting artists to join the Theatre & Artist Development team at The Place.

During 2020 many of the The Place’s Artist Development initiatives were re-imagined for an online space, growing their reach and impact. As we move forward, some of these projects will remain online, allowing us to reach beyond London and to offer more flexible opportunities for artists to engage with and be supported by the team.

The main responsibility of the postholder is to coordinate and administrate the Artist Development programme and to oversee day-to-day activities, including finances and enquiries as directed by the line manager. This role also contributes to the development of the Artist Development programme that complements the Theatre and Producing and Touring programmes.

We welcome applications from artists who are interested in moving into arts management.

The Place is committed to equality and diversity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. Disabled candidates and those from ethnically diverse backgrounds who meet the essential criteria for a role will be guaranteed an interview as they are underrepresented in our workforce.

We also welcome applications for flexible working, so please include details of any request for this within your application.

Salary: £27,600 per annum

How to apply: Please complete the application form below and send to jobs@theplace.org.uk

Deadline for applications: Fri 6 Aug at 12pm (BST)

We anticipate that interviews will be held digitally via Microsoft Teams (or another online platform if necessary) on Wed 18 and Thu 19 Aug 2021.
