Neo was one of the creative directors, choreographers and dancers for Flawless Entertainment for 10 years. In 2015 he launched his solo career as a choreographer and creative director. The Urdang Academy, an exceptional vocational institute offering world class dance and musical theatre training in the heart of London.
Urdang educates and trains young performers from 16 and up in Musical Theatre and Dance to become strong, disciplined and confident performers. Boasting a modern outlook, dynamic atmosphere and inspiring backdrop, making the Academy an energising and contemporary place to study.
Urdang admits students based on potential, believing that talent supersedes size, race, height, socio-economic status and ethnicity. Impact Dance was established in 1995 and is a hip hop theatre company, street dance organisation and educational facilitator based in London. It was founded by Artistic Director Hakeem Onibudo and has been a major gatekeeper for the hip hop/street dance sector since its inception. The company has been performing in venues both nationally and internationally since 1995, as well as supporting individuals to realise their potential through the medium of dance.
Impact’s work has always taken on a narrative approach, presenting social issues and scenarios, which make an “Impact” on the audience.
Impact Dance will be performing their iconic Slippin duet for LIVEVIBE Samples and Interpolations. The piece dovetails nicely with the theme as the contemporary hip hip version uses the iconic Grover Washington JR. sample of Moonstreams. In addition the main show focuses on piecing Onibudo’s early DJ career and his fight to find his identity, which is reflected in the duet.
