Want to be a Trainee Dance Producer at The Place?

Want to be a Trainee Dance Producer at The Place?

Come along to one of our Trainee Producer information sessions on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 March to find out more.

You’ll get to meet Hakeem Onibudo, Associate Producer at The Place and Arts Council Change Maker and Paige Jarrett who is the currently completing her Traineeship with The Place. There will chance to ask questions about the role, to meet other members of The Place team and to have a look round the building.

As a Trainee Producer you’ll be part of The Place’s Theatre and Artist Development team working specifically on producing the LIVEVIBE events in June and December as well as a brand new Hip-Hop/African Dance festival in October.

This paid traineeship runs from April to November and will help you to gain general administrative skills, and understand how the theatre and artist development programme is created and delivered in a busy arts and higher education organisation. In your daily work you will be involved in tasks such as dealing with phone enquiries, assisting with incoming productions and providing general admin support to Associate Producer Hakeem Onibudo.

Funding from the Arts Council England Change Makers fund has enabled Hakeem Onibudo to collaborate with The Place on a series of projects aimed at increasing the number of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) people who engage with the organisation, whether as audience members, staff, artists or students and to affect lasting change at The Place.
