News & Blogs

Would you like the opportunity to watch, reflect and communicate your opinions about new dance?

We are recruiting for a team of reviewers to be part of the Resolution festival (Fri 8 Jan – Fri 19 Feb 2016). You get the chance to see and review some of the UK’s most promising dance companies, to get mentored by a professional dance critic, and have your reviews published as part of our online platform Resolution Review.

You don't need to regard yourself as a technical dance expert. We're simply looking for skilled wordsmiths with a passion for watching and writing about performance in an honest and engaging way.

Successful applicants will be mentored by our team of professionals and will have access to a seminar providing opportunities to ask questions around current working practices. Previous participants in this programme have gone on to be regular writers for publications including Time Out, London Dance, Exeunt, Dance Tabs, The Stage and Dancing Times, and several have set up their own successful blogs.

How to apply:

  • Send a sample dance review (max 300 words) by 10am, Monday 16 November to Sorcha Hunter, Press and Media Manager
  • Remember to include your name and contact details and put 'Resolution Review' in the email subject line.

Please note this is an unpaid opportunity and we are unable to pay for travel or accommodation expenses for participants. You'll need to be able to commit to a minimum of three nights across the season Fri 8 Jan – Fri 19 Feb 2016 (excluding the 1st week of February). CV’s are not accepted and will be discarded if received with applications.
