Applications for Research Residencies now open!

Choreodrome

Choreodrome Research Residencies – develop your own choreographic work or ideas. You will receive studio space and be invited to take part in work in progress sharings and weekly lunch get togethers. You may receive a commission of £1000. Artists from any discipline who wish to research an idea that has choreography or dance as a key component are welcome to apply. If your work is rooted in dances from the African Diaspora including hip hop, you may also apply for the new Startin’ Point Research Residency Commission.

The current edition of Choreodrome will run from Monday 22 July – Sunday 22 September 2019.

It will have two strands:

  • Choreodrome Research Residencies – develop your own choreographic work or ideas. You will receive studio space and be invited to take part in work in progress sharings and weekly lunch get togethers. You may receive a grant of £1000.This includes the Startin’ Point Research Residency for artists whose work is rooted in dances from the African Diaspora.
  • Choreodrome Research Workshops - participate in intensive creative workshops led by ground-breaking dance makers. 

Artists may apply for either or both the Residencies and Workshops strands.
