Inner London students aged 14-16

Inner London students aged 10-13

Although not essential, we recommend that anyone interested in applying for an audition place attends an open day first. The sessions will consist of 90 minute practical classes in the studio (parents are not able to observe these sessions), information talks, tours and some observation of current CAT students. We invite and encourage all parents/carers and students to attend with their child.

Please note: booking is required for participants only, parents/carers do not need to book and pay for a place to attend the Open Day.

Once you have attended an open day you can decide if you want to audition. We do not give feedback after these taster sessions, they are purely for you to find out about the programme before applying.

Sat 9 Feb – Open Day (aimed at Outer London students age 10-16)

Tues 12 Feb – Twilight Open Day (aimed at Inner London students age 14-16)

Weds 13 Feb – Twilight Open Day (aimed at Inner London students age 10-13)

Auditions

Auditions for the Centre for Advanced Training are by application only. Applications are closed for 2018 entry, but will reopen in mid-February 2019.

All applicants are required to submit a completed online application form along with a headshot before they are invited to an audition/interview. Full audition/interview details will be sent to applicants within two weeks of receiving their completed application form.

Making your application

Register with the website: Once you have done this you will be able to log out and return to your application at any point to continue with your application. If you do not have an account, you will be redirected to the registration page.

Log in and complete the online application form: The form is spread across four separate steps. At each step you must submit your details in order to save it.

Once you have completed all four steps you will have the opportunity to review and edit any of the details you have saved before confirming your application. You can log in later to amend an incomplete application via this page. Every section of the form should be completed as fully as possible in English.

Once you have confirmed your application you will be redirected to the homepage where it will say “Your application has been saved!”

You will be allocated an audition date by email (please be aware this may take up to 2 weeks).

If you have any questions about the application procedure, contact the CAT Deputy Manager on cat@theplace.org.uk or call +44 (0)20 7121 1037
