With an unprecedented investment of £1.57bn through this fund, the government is #HereForCulture so we can weather the storm of coronavirus and come back stronger.
And we are #HereForCulture too.
Over the past seven months, the organisation has taken a range of steps to ensure its artistic, operational and financial survival whilst, most importantly, keeping our promises toall those we work with and for.
Whilst continuing to manage the high levels of risk caused by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, this grant will now enable us to increase activity and invest in a better and different future.
The Cultural Recovery Fund grant will enable us to:
Increase support for artists and local communities including our partnership with Camden Council, artists’ residencies and micro-festivals
Build digital capacity to deliver more of our work to artists and audiences online
Minimise the impact of Covid-19 by adapting how we work to ensure the safety of our students, staff, artists and audiences.
Invest in our creative business model and the staging of major partnerships to ensure our adaptability, resilience and long-term financial sustainability.
We would like to thank our colleagues at Arts Council England, our stakeholders and supporters who have shown great confidence in our continued leadership. Now more than ever, we need to find ways to sustain our connectivity to power imagination through dance. Our pursuit for a world with more dance, goes way beyond our organisation and we will do everything we possibly can to sustain a better future for dance and dance artists.
