Following the Government’s latest advice, we regret to inform you that The Place building is closed until further notice.
In these incredibly testing times, we wish to recognise first and foremost that this global pandemic is impacting everyone in different ways. Our thoughts are with those who are most impacted and of course with staff working in the National Health Service.
The health and well-being of our students, staff and visitors remain paramount. We are following the Government advice to close our building and move to remote working in accordance to the latest guidance and play our part in stopping the spread of the virus. Please do not travel to our building as it will be closed and this poses unnecessary risks. If you need to speak with someone regarding collecting items that are currently held the building, please email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can store them securely until the building re-opens. Click here for the latest rules and guidance on staying at home and away from others.
We are working hard to move London Contemporary Dance School to online learning and teaching where possible. We are devastated for the impact this necessary measure is having on our programme of classes, courses and performances for audiences and artists alike.
This crisis poses unprecedented and very real financial challenges to all of us, our communities and our businesses. The Place employs hundreds of people as permanent and casual staff and work with many freelance dance teachers, artists and visiting companies. Like everyone, we are trying to find a way through this difficult period and continue to support the livelihood of our community. Your generosity would make a huge difference. We will absolutely offer you a full refund to your original method of payment for your booking but should you wish to support us in this moment you could:
Turn your booking cost into a full or partial gift to The Place
Keep your booking cost as credit to use for future shows or classes
All bookers will be contacted via email directly. We are receiving a high volume of calls and emails and we’d appreciate your patience as we contact all bookers as quickly as we can in these difficult circumstances.
Thank you for your understanding and support
