More information on NRTF, The Place, China Plate and Take Art

The organisations partnering to deliver the Rural Touring Dance Initiative are:

NRTF

The National Rural Touring Forum is an umbrella body representing the interests of 30 rural touring schemes in England, Wales and Scotland. The NRTF holds an annual conference bringing its members together with local promoters, companies and policy makers through a showcase element, discussion and debate. Dance is currently underrepresented on the rural touring circuit and the NRTF wishes to address this imbalance through the successful Arts Council Strategic Touring grant towards the Rural Dance Touring Initiative.

The Place

The Place has been a driving force for contemporary dance in the UK for 45 years. The Place is unique and is comprised of: a training organisation, a producing and receiving theatre, a home for a national touring company and a hub for hundreds of independent artists. In addition to The Darkroom, our artist development and commissioning schemes include, The Optimists, The Spring Festivals Commission, The Bite Size / First Bite Commission, The Suitcase Prize, this_is_tomorrow and triggered@warwick. China Plate are Associate Producers at Warwick Arts Centre and The New Wolsey and have a long term relationship with the NRTF with whom we program the New Directions showcase.
