Questions and Dancers is a project creating new work especially for eight to eleven year-old children and their families.
The project is a collaboration between The Place, Sadler's Wells and Company of Angels, putting into production ideas submitted for the Choreography for Children Award. The award-winners collaborate with a team of dramaturgs and composers, and consult with young people to create works, which are performed by graduating-year students from London Contemporary Dance School.
In 2013, Questions and Dancers commissioned Duck Man by Levantes Dance Theatre and OMG! by Imogen Knight. The works were performed at The Place and Sadler's Wells in London, at the Jerwood Dance House in Ipswich and at Dance City in Newcastle. The project was supported by MOKO Dance.
In 2015 Questions and Dancers commissioned There, There Stranger John Ross and I am 8 by Sally Marie. The works were performed at The Place and Sadler's Wells in London and were commissioned by the Choreography for Children Award 2014 produced by Sadler’s Wells, Company of Angels, The Place and London Contemporary Dance School in partnership with MOKO Dance.
