Scatter is The Place’s adult dance company, which was founded in 2011 after identifying the need to have more intensive training and performance opportunities for adult non-professional dancers.
The company meet once a week and take part in class with our company Rehearsal Director Tory East. They then take part in a creative workshop with our commissioned choreographer for the term; working on a choreographic project that will be performed in a variety of venues. The company meet for the Autumn and Spring term with performances taking place throughout.
Recent commissioned choreographers include Alleyne Dance, James Wilton, Cai Tomos, Neil Flemming-Brown and Marso Riviere. And the company has performed at the Bloomsbury Festival, The Dance Shed, Lift Off Festival and Innovate Dance Festival.
The company is for people who have previous dance experience, as the classes are challenging and require a good technical knowledge.
We ask all participants to be able to commit for both terms and all performance opportunities.
