Hannah teaches a Cunningham based class that focuses on finding a healthy body alignment leading onto a more fluid centre practise. Taking inspiration from her work with Richard Alston Dance Company, Hannah's class aims to combine rhythmical shifts in space with empathy for musicality and dynamics.
Level 2 provides more challenging phrases and movements that incorporate multiple exercises and movement. Not only will you develop your technical knowledge you will also begin to introduce performativity into your practice allowing for greater expression. Alongside this your body will develop an increased physicality including core strength and balance; allowing you to have greater movement efficiency. You will also be encouraged to work more with the live music and given freedom to play with timings and counts.
Hannah began her training at Elmhurst Ballet School and went onto London Contemporary Dance School, where she completed her MA. In 2007 Hannah joined Richard Alston Dance Company, with whom she performed for six years both nationally and internationally.
Her most recent performances include The Odyssey by Mark Bruce Company, Collapse and Casting Traces for New Movement Collective, Orpheo and Euridice for Scottish Opera, Cunningham's event Dancing around Duchamp at Barbican, Darren Ellis' Revolver for The Place Prize for Dance and Mark Bruce's Dracula.
In late 2012 Hannah was nominated for the National Dance Award's Outstanding Female Performer. Hannah teaches regularly for Richard Alston Dance Company, Rambert Dance Company and for many leading contemporary conservatories
