Class Description

This class is a blend of Contact Improvisation’s approach to the body with the structure of a Contemporary Dance class.

Forward, side and backward rolls, dives, knee slides, handstands, off axis patterns and floor surfing. Ultimately you will open space to fall, fly and release as we dance together with risk and humour.

Please note that you must have at least one year of dance experience to attend this class. This class will also require you to be able to give and bear weight.

Level Information

  • Recommended if you have at least a year’s experience in contemporary dance
  • Developing your dance vocabulary
  • Gradually working towards longer movement phrases
  • Aiming to increase physicality, performativity and musicality
