Returning to The Place after hit performances earlier this year, don't miss Idiot-Syncrasy this time round.
We started out wanting to change the world with a performance.
We felt like idiots.
Then we danced a lot.
We jumped. We called on the folk traditions of Sardinia and the Basque Country. We sang. We jumped some more. We committed.
Now we promise to stick together. We promise to persevere. We promise to do our best.
“Total brilliance! The best thing I’ve seen all year. Rocking my world!”Audience member "Idiot-Syncrasy demonstrates once more the talent and skills of Solinas and Urzelai. [...] The show seeks to investigate the relationship we have with our own body, with our desires and with others. It seems to say: ‘Jump with us, know yourself and take a stand!" instart.info by Oswald "Utterly fresh, genuine and immediate" Wieke Eringa, CEO of Yorkshire Dance "An appealing work" Zoë Anderson, The Independent
Igor Urzelai and Moreno Solinas are two London based dance artists making and presenting work across Europe. Their work is characterized by a strong will to employ a poetic yet political language through the use of the body, voice, text and design to create finely crafted and playful dance works which are in equal parts exciting and uncompromising, poetic and thought-provoking.
