“Our children are so lucky to have these experiences by such highly trained, talented and creative dancers.” - Assistant Head Teacher, Camden
“One of the reasons we were interested in working with The Place was to change the attitudes of some of our boys towards dance. Some boys were really negative before our visit, but they were soon pointing their toes and giving thumbs up to the dancers! They all felt much more open [to dancing] after and one boy said ‘I didn't realise I could be moving like a ninja! It was well cool!’”
In our experience, schools and colleges that embrace the arts are confident, engaging and creative places where students develop a lifelong love of learning. The Place has a long history of working with schools to develop their dance provision and supporting teachers to embrace a creative curriculum. Our sessions are inclusive, imaginative and challenge the perception of what dance is and who it is for. We have a range of activities for learners of all ages to develop their skills and confidence in dance and can work with teachers to design projects to meet the specific needs of your school.
