What is Ballroom?
Ballroom is an enchanting collective experience for all generations, genders and backgrounds which invites you to talk, share and dance together. Inspired by the tradition of ballroom dance halls, audience members are encouraged by the performers to live the action from the inside and embark on their own dance journey in an intimate atmosphere.

What will the course actually involve?
Each day will start with a warm up, which involves a series of exercises and movement phrases designed to improve strength, coordination, alignment, flexibility and musicality. The latter section of the class embraces your creativity, you’ll work in small groups and individually, learning how to create choreography through creative tasks and games and begin to refine your own style.

Do I need any particular skills or experience to take part?
Enthusiasm and being ready to try something new – you will be experimenting with a range of tasks and exercises. Some experience and basic dance or similar skills are useful but not necessary, just wear comfortable clothes you can move in and speak to a member of our friendly team if you have any specific concerns or requirements we can support you with.
