Sorry, you missed this event, SIGN UP to get information on our forthcoming shows

Our popular Choreolab programme returns this Easter with Richard Alston Dance Company.  This exciting full day workshop will focus on choreography and collaboration, exploring the dynamics of creating work with live music.

Alston is renowned for having a very close relationship with his music, taking inspiration for his work directly from the music he uses.  Gain an insight to his unique approach to choreography and music and be inspired to create your own work.  The day will be led by current RADC dancer/s.

You will start with a technique class in the style of Alston (release and Cunningham based) this will prepare you for learning sections of repertoire from his works. As music has a large influence on Alston’s creating of movement you will then be set tasks around developing your own movements individually and with others becoming a choreographer for the day.

Please Note: Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of Ballet or Contemporary dance technique. These workshops are not suitable for beginners.
