The Place For Screendance

Dates: Fri 15 & Sat 16 Mar

Frame Rush: A Place for Sreendance is a two-day film festival of dance film, run by the postgraduate students of the world’s only MA in Screendance at London Contemporary Dance School.

Five screenings of international films, carefully chosen by the students, delve into a multitude of genres and forms. From early 20th century screendance pioneers, to urban films exploring the beating pulse of screendance in contemporary culture, these screenings all speak to wider themes of breaking down barriers, crossing borders and defying conventions.

From over 2,000 submissions, we present the most exciting, innovative and pioneering works from across the globe, each of which mines the deep potential of dance and film as a hybrid artform.
