Class description:

These classes are for students who hold a basic understanding in contemporary or ballet and would like to develop their skills; building confidence, improving technique and increasing dance vocabulary.

This Graham-based class focuses on developing body awareness through the use of breath, focus and imagery. Presence and clarity of form are practised throughout, with an emphasis on exploration and enjoyment. Each class includes exercises on the floor, standing and travelling.

Additional notes:

This class is not suitable for beginners.

Due to 2 bank holidays in May there will be no classes on 1 and 29 May. The enrolment cost of £90 (£78 concessions) covers all 9 classes.

Artist's biography:

Geneviève Grady is an independent dancer, choreographer and teacher on the BA programme at Laban. She has performed throughout Canada, the US and Europe, including aerial, film, site-specific projects, fusion and classical roles with Menaka Thakkar and Ritmo Flamenco, and three solos by choreographer Deborah Hay.
