Searching for the Dead

I have my mother’s laugh, my cousin’s sneeze, my best friend’s sayings, an old friend’s dance move,  a dead friend’s gesture, a stranger’s stare. Three dancers and two musicians with a lot of junk reflect on the many ‘others’ within us.

About Temitope Ajose Cutting

Bonnie Bird Choreography Award winner (2005) Temitope Ajose Cutting has created and staged works for venues such as Royal Opera House and ROH2, The Place Prize Bloomberg 2008 DanceXchange, RichMix and the Soho Joyce (New York). As a dancer Temitope has worked with Punchdrunk, director Carrie Cracknell at The Gate Theatre, Amy Hodge, Boxd productions and Protein Dance.

About Far From The Norm

Far From The Norm was established in May 2009 and are a hip hop theatre collective renowned for challenging and inspiring audiences. Under the artistic direction of Botis Seva, Far From The Norm have become reputable in hip hop theatre in the UK, presenting their work at various national and international festivals and theatres such as San Francisco’s Hip Hop Dance Festival, Austria’s Hip Hop Goes Theatre and Breakin' Convention.

Highly physical and dynamic choreography, heavily routed in working  with an atmospheric score and inspired by shifting moments of power.


About Co-Motion

Co_Motion Dance is a London based contemporary dance company, creating highly physical, dynamic and athletic work. The choreography challenges and pushes their dancers, whilst exploring the relationship between dance, physical theatre and music. The company produce predominantly fast paced pieces, including elements of risk, resulting in the creation of exciting and energetic dance productions.
