Join us this summer as we bring together some of the UK’s leading dance artists and organisations for an online summer dance course.
DanceEast and The Place have teamed up with DanceXchange, National Dance Company Wales, Pavilion Dance South West and Phoenix Dance Theatre to bring you high quality dance training direct to your own home! A vast range of dance styles will be on offer, from Creative Contemporary and Hip Hop to Commercial Jazz and company repertoire workshops.
Let’s Move! will take place over three days (Wed 12 - Fri 14 Aug) and each day you will take part in two different workshops taught over Zoom.
Please note: Booking closes Mon 10 Aug, midnight.
Over the course of the week you will have:
All you have to decide is whether to join us in the morning or in the afternoon! Morning sessions will run from 9.30am - 12.30pm and afternoon sessions will run from 1pm - 4pm. Please note, you must commit to all three morning sessions or all three afternoon sessions.

Recommended age: 8-17 years (participants will be grouped by age)
Bursaries available: Each partner organisation has an equal, but limited fund available for bursaries for Let’s Move!. Click HERE to apply for a bursary.
Important: Participant data will be shared between The Place and DanceEast for planning and Safeguarding purposes. This information will only be used in relation to the Summer School to ensure participant enjoyment and safety throughout. Neither organisation (or the other partner organisations) will use your information for any other purpose unless you have chosen to hear from them for marketing purposes.

DanceEast I Based in Ipswich
DanceEast is based at the Jerwood DanceHouse in Ipswich, the home for dance in the East of England. They are a UK leading dance organisation, providing extraordinary dance performances, life-affirming participatory opportunities for all and a world-class environment for artists at all stages of their careers.
DanceXchange | Based in Birmingham
DanceXchange is based in Birmingham in the West Midlands, and presents and produces some of the best UK and international dance; supports artists to create and develop their work; nurtures talented young performers, choreographers and leaders; and engages people of all backgrounds in dance activity.
National Dance Company Wales | Based in Cardiff
National Dance Company Wales make brilliant dance with and for all kinds of people in all kinds of places, from Welsh town halls and community spaces to international stages and festivals, and online. The company believes in the power of dance, and shares their passion for the artform by creating new possibilities of what dance can be so that more people can make, watch, participate in and learn about dance in Wales and across the world.
Pavilion Dance South West | Based in Bournemouth
Pavilion Dance South West believes that dance is for everyone and it is dedicated to transforming communities through dance. Based in a wonderful historic seafront building, PDSW has two dance studios for classes and rehearsals and a 192 seat theatre for live shows.
Phoenix Dance Theatre | Based in Leeds
Phoenix Dance Theatre is the UK’s longest-standing contemporary dance company outside of London. Founded in 1981, Phoenix Dance Theatre’s aim is to create dynamic, diverse and relevant work that embodies the Company’s rich Caribbean history and shines a light on cultural narratives that are often overlooked or untold. Each year the Company embarks on national tours presenting critically acclaimed dance productions to audiences throughout the UK and further, reaching up to 20,000 people.

This summer leading dance organisations in the UK have teamed up to give dance enthusiasts aged 8-17 years old the chance to learn a variety of dance styles with different teachers over three days.
