Marie teaches a joyful yet challenging class that is tailored to the individual needs of the participating dancers. Using the principles of Limon technique her class utilises the use of weight and breath to encourage movement that works with the body rather than against it.
After graduating with a first class BA (Hons) in Dance Studies from Middlesex University in 2001, Marie joined Loop Dance Company as a dancer. She has since toured works by choreographers including; Yael Flexor, Jonzi D,, Annie Lok and Joss Arnott. She has collaborated on a number of large scale community projects working with a range of people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to produce high quality performance pieces. Recent projects include co-directing The Little Witch intergenerational project for The Place, London and a British Council funded community music and dance project in Kathmandu, Nepal. Marie has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and Qualified Teacher Status and is a Dance Lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University where she teaches Dance Pedagogy.
